Gingivitis is easily treated.

Periodontitis is a serious gum disease that can lead to tooth loss in the later stages. Periodontitis develops due to the proliferation of bacteria and the formation of tartar under the gums - in the gum pockets.
Due to the inflammatory process, all periodontal tissues suffer: gums, periodontal ligament that holds the tooth in the bone, bone tissue.
At the initial stage, symptoms include: unpleasant odor, bleeding gums, deepening of the gum pockets.

- Gastrointestinal diseases - the cause may be dysbacteriosis, ulcers, gastritis, intestinal obstruction. The smell may be sour or similar to the smell of feces, accompanied by belching, heartburn.
- ENT diseases - when mucus and pus accumulate in the nasopharynx, bacteria can accumulate in them and cause an unpleasant odor.
- Taking certain medications - some medications can be excreted from the body with breath or saliva and bring their own odor. Examples include certain antibiotics, drugs for the treatment of stomach ulcers.

- Assessment of the oral cavity condition - the presence of inflammation, microtraumas, ulcers, plaque on the tongue. Also, attention is paid to visible foci of infection: affected teeth, fillings.
- Assessment of the gum condition - redness, inflammation, swelling, the presence of microtraumas are detected. The height of the gums is assessed (for signs of recession), the condition of the papillae. The degree of bleeding, the presence of pus are determined.
- Assessment of the presence of plaque - the presence of microbial plaque, its quantity, areas of accumulation are assessed.
- Photo protocol - the condition of the gums at the time of diagnosis is recorded. Photos are stored in the patient's card. After treatment, you can evaluate the "before and after" result.
- Assessment of tooth mobility - loose teeth and the degree of their mobility are determined.
- Periodontal screening - using a special probe (rounded, not sharp), the depth of the gingival pockets is measured. Along the perimeter of each tooth, the pockets are measured at 4 points: the front surface, the back, the sides.
- CT scan analysis - the quantity and quality of bone tissue is examined, areas of bone loss are determined. CT also reveals hidden inflammatory processes occurring deep in the tissues (CT scan is not included in the cost of diagnostics. The patient can bring their own scan or have the CT scan done at the clinic).

Only standard dental cleaning is performed. The surface of the teeth and the cervical area are cleaned from plaque and tartar. This eliminates the source of inflammation and unpleasant odor. Additionally, medicinal antiseptic treatment of the gums and oral cavity is performed. -

With periodontitis, tartar and bacteria accumulate deep under the gums. Therefore, scaling is performed - cleaning of gum pockets, removing all deposits and bacteria that have accumulated over the years. Thanks to this, not only is the unpleasant odor eliminated, but the development of periodontitis is also stopped.
The roots of the teeth are carefully polished so that plaque accumulates less in the future.
Antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and healing agents are used for medicinal treatment.
The results are visible immediately after the first cleaning. Since the infectious environment is eliminated, swelling and inflammation subside within the first three days. The unpleasant odor disappears immediately after cleaning. Bleeding gradually decreases until it disappears completely.
